This 45-minute class combines easy to learn tai chi form and qigong exercises* to improve well-being through self-awareness and mindful movement. Attention is given to transferring weight smoothly, maintaining postural control and focused breathing. Benefits include increased muscular endurance, improved balance, increased energy and a calm mind. A chair is provided to facilitate standing stability and seated exercise options. *Qigong (pronounced “chee-gong”) meditation is an ancient Chinese healing practice that combines meditation, controlled breathing, and gentle movement.
